Portovenere

Portovenere is an ancient medieval village that still preserves the ancient structure of that period.
This enchanting village has very characteristic, high, narrow houses with bright coloured facades (red and yellow) overlooking the sea.
It is located at the western end of the village of La Spezia, located in a strategic place to control the maritime traffic.
The Porto Venere Natural Park contains in its 400 hectares places of great environmental, historical and cultural value.
The ancient village, the Palmaria Islands, Tino, Tinetto and the Protected Marine Area are precious testimonies of a harmonious relationship between man and nature. A partnership built and consolidated over time that has been recognized by UNESCO.
